Stuck lens?

The most probable cause is low power. Your camera's battery is drained. Recharge the battery overnight or replace with a fresh new set of alkalines or lithiums whichever the case may be. In the meantime, do not touch the lens. It will correct itself when power is restored sufficiently.

If the camera still does not function properly after getting full power, it is most probably in need of replacement. Having a compact camera repaired usually costs most than buying a new one. That is unless the camera is still under warranty.

Now you know!
